Our Journey

From a small independent label to a full music holdings company

Here's how we got here and where we're headed.

  1. July 2024 — XZ1 Recordings is Born

    It all started with XZ1 Recordings — a small, artist-first record label launched in Honolulu, HI with a mission to give independent artists a real shot at getting their music out to the world.

  2. February 2025 — XZ1 Recordings Begins to Expand

    The catalog was growing, new artists were signing on, and it became clear that XZ1 Recordings was outgrowing its original scope. The foundation for something bigger was being laid.

  3. January 2026 — Official Incorporation

    XZ1 Recording Ventures officially incorporated as XZ1 Recording Ventures Inc., establishing a formal corporate structure to support continued growth across labels, distribution, publishing, and technology.

  4. February 2026 — 100 Releases & XZ1 ID

    XZ1 Recordings hit the milestone of 100 releases, cementing its place as a growing force in independent music. Alongside this, the XZ1 ID project was created to give XZ1 Recordings clients a unified identity platform for managing their accounts, releases, and artist services.

  5. April 2026 — XZ1 ID launches!

    The long-awaited XZ1 ID ecosystem launched to XZ1 Recordings artists on April 25, 2026, delivering a unified platform for identity, releases, royalties, and artist services across the XZ1 family of ventures.
